Kerkes Arpad

Kerkes Arpad (French: Prince Caroues de Gésir; 1765-1830) was Josephine de La Pagerie's third husband (after Alexander de Beauharnais and Napoleon) and a member of House of Árpád.


Early Life[edit]

He was the second son of Prince Magyar Arpad and Princess Therese. He lived his youth in Hercegfalva Palota.


Due to a trade deal, Kerkes (who was already in France), was sent to Château de Malmaison, where he met Joséphine.

Kerkes decided to marry her and he did so in March 1810.
